New report says millions of women at risk of falling into poverty, economic ruin
Sun Jan 12, 2014
There's nothing wrong with finishing university in your 40s or 50s. My dad got his Business degree in his 50s after retiring from the military. Women can go to college later in life, too. Get the MBA or Computer Science degree and you'll be more competitive to companies. Women can invest in themselv …
Judge orders Colorado baker to serve gay couples

Child molesters and other criminals are all over the place around us, look at the Sex Offender Databases, those criminals are worse than homosexuals but they aren't quite as easy to spot even if they are on the Registry. Christians minister to criminals in jail, etc, and can use these opportunities …
Retailers want to make 'showrooming' a no-show

In reply to: Whatever_man #1 Maybe it's just the convenience of not having to dig around and find the thing at the store. Christmas has the added hassle of long lines.
Shame campaign gets hospital staffers vaccinated

For the last 12 years, my doctors have never told me or my child to get a flu shot at any checkups, and that is at different hospitals and clinics. If they did, I would do it, but since they don't, it doesn't seem like a big deal.
Father kills son, 9, and himself at New Hampshire YWCA, authorities say

"supervised visit" what a joke. Reminds me of Josh Powell and his supervised visits too. Then he chops his sons with axes while the supervisor runs screaming. He killed her mother and little brother, she is going to be compliant until something changes I'm sure, don't blame her for this situation. I'm sure he has threatened to kill her too. Seems like he was a predator all along according to other reports from her friends.

My tween doesn't have a cell phone and I don't even have a smartphone, but I do coach his robotics team and we invest in those kind of programs. As another precaution besides engaging in good extracurricular activities, I use the Screen Retriever program that allows you to see animated snapshots of …

School's new culture cuts racial achievement gap

My kid isn't in public school mainly because the amount of drug dealing, that is something the public schools should work on harder. Inner city schools of large cities have it worse with the seriously criminal gangs and assaults. I believe public school classrooms need to be recorded with a camera i …
Bad teeth, broken dreams: Lack of dental care keeps many out of jobs
Wed Jun 12, 2013
SeaWorld has hired some toothless guys for security work, not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't really think teeth are that big of a deal when there are so many tattooed and pierced uglies walking around too, many of them in the restaurant business.
